EMEET SmartCam C960 1080P Webcam
A simple, low cost upgrade over a laptop camera for calls in a well lit room.
The short version
- Home office workers on Zoom or Teams calls
- Online teachers and students who want built-in mics
- Anyone replacing a weak or broken laptop camera on a budget
- You need to show documents or products up close
- Your desk faces away from a bright window and you cannot add a light
- You want Windows Hello face login
- You stream or record and want 4K or sharper detail
What owners like
- Simple to set up, it works as soon as it is plugged in
- The 90 degree view fits one or two people at a desk
- Built-in mics are good enough that people on calls can hear clearly
- Tripod thread gives more placement options than a clip alone
- Good value for a basic call camera
Common complaints
- Fixed focus means close-up objects and documents stay soft
- Image quality drops in dim rooms and against bright windows
- USB cable is attached and uses a USB-A plug, so newer laptops need an adapter
- The mics help but do not replace a headset in noisy rooms
Based on EMEET's product and support pages, a Digital Camera World review of the 1080p C960, and spec-based reviews on Layer3Labs and BPS EdTech.

What it does
A low-cost 1080p USB webcam with a 90 degree lens, two built-in microphones and a clip that also fits a tripod.
- Plug and play over USB with no driver needed
- Two microphones with echo cancellation and noise reduction, per EMEET
- Clip mount for monitors and laptops, plus a 1/4 inch tripod thread
- Privacy cover for the lens
- Optional EMEETLINK software for brightness, contrast, saturation and white balance
- Works with Zoom, Teams, Webex, Skype and similar apps
Buy it if you need a plug-in upgrade over a laptop camera for calls and classes, and want usable built-in mics so you can skip a headset. The trade-off is fixed focus and a basic sensor: it cannot sharpen close-up documents, and it needs decent light, especially with a bright window behind you.

Questions
Does the EMEET C960 work with a Mac?
Yes. EMEET lists macOS 10.10 or later and says it is plug and play with no driver.
Does the EMEET C960 have autofocus?
No. It uses fixed focus, sharpest from about 30 cm to 3 m. EMEET sells 2K and 4K C960 versions separately.
Does the EMEET C960 come with a privacy cover?
EMEET lists a physical privacy cover in the box. A 2021 Digital Camera World review noted its unit had none, so older stock may differ.
Can I use the EMEET C960 with a USB-C laptop?
The cable ends in USB-A, so a USB-C laptop needs an adapter. Some newer listings include an A to C adapter.
Why does my EMEET C960 image look green?
EMEET says a green tint comes from saturation set above 85 in EMEETLINK. Resetting to defaults in the app fixes it.
Does the EMEET C960 work with Windows Hello?
No. Layer3Labs and BPS EdTech both list Windows Hello as unsupported.
